LOWELL JACKLING grew up with many trials and traumas early in his life. Like so many children of the 60's, he started taking his life down a dangerous path hoping to find that peace and understanding as to "WHY?", as well as to escape and forget. When he was 15, his mother found a guitar at a garage sale and she hoped maybe it would help give her son an outlet and some peace. His trials would continue and his demons were hard to overcome in his life, though the guitar stayed with him and his love for classic rock. There were so many times in his life he should have died but God always seem to intervene, in his pain he asked God "WHY?". He admits that he doesn't remember the details of those years because they were fueled by drugs and alcohol. Then on a day more than 40 years ago he took a massive overdose of drugs trying to reach that super high, but instead of euphoria, he felt his heart trying to explode out of his chest, his "friends" just abandoned him to die. He found hinself asking God if he would get him out of this, LOWELL promised he would change his ways. At that moment it was as if the drugs left his body and he was fine. He never used those drugs again and he finally started to find that peace.
These days LOWELL JACKLING tries to listen to a different voice. He learned in life that true riches and peace comes from God, Family, Good Friends, love and a guitar. That brings his journey to ELITE RADIO 21.4. His music now draws from inspiration and being the instrument of something greater. He contacted me saying that he knew that this song was out of the norm and he didn't know what to do with it. He just wanted to touch lives. I was happy he finally approached me. He trusted my ideas to portray his story visually. We planned on Easter weekend to share it with the world and he hoped for Good Friday.
