 BRAYLYNN MONTGOMERY is a talented young lady from a small but lovely area of Idaho   coming to us with   her first public release "SMALL STEPS". Having a very beautiful voice, she   never thought of styling herself after anyone, she just liked singing her own way. Even at the   tender age of eighteen, life hasn't always been easy. I think in general the pressures and   expectations that are put on the youth today, I wonder sometimes how they develop the   coping skills to overcome the day to day stresses they face.

 BRAYLYNN is not one of those that say they have been creating music all their life, in fact she   had never even thought she would venture into SONG WRITING. 

 BRAYLYNN had been part of a church worship group as a singer. During a break an individual   heard her singing. He knew there was something special there and began to try to guide her.   She was referred and accepted to a student ministry fine arts program. At first she thought   this would be a good thing that would help her to lead music or direct chiors, but instead she found herself learning about writing music. She wrote a few songs and one song qualified her to compete in the national finals, that would eventually lead her to her release  "SMALL STEPS" She is fortunate to have wonderful mentors in her life. 

She now found this new talent needing to be nurtured and expressed. As she worked with a song she began using her keyboard and computer to find a sound that would bring the song to life. Though she didn't say so, I personally understood what she was saying and I suspect she hears that arrangement in her head and I know as time goes on, as her skills grow, with the help of technolgy she will be arranging those pieces .

 Already she sees the importance of having influences in music, but not to just imitate those   artists in your music. Your music needs to be your own. She has heard others being told that   if they want to become anything that they need to be like this artist or that artist. Her   feeling is why be an artist if not to be who you are. Wise words for such a young person. There are many artists who never understand that. 

 BRAYLYNN's goals at this time is to complete her education.
